Board Member Expectations and Responsibilities
- Board members must be a member in good standing of NASCOD
- Attend monthly meetings (held via Zoom most months, face to face meetings at annual board retreat and annual conference)
- Currently held on 4th Wednesday of the month at 1pm ET
- If you are unable to attend a meeting, please provide reasonable notification.
- Multiple absences may result in possible request to leave the board to open the seat to someone who has the schedule availability to participate consistently.
- Serve on at least one committee
- Represent the interests of NASCOD and crisis organizations to the community
- Be active on the NASCOD listserve
- Regularly attend/present/promote NASCOD Peerinars
- Be aware of trends and issues related to crisis work and crisis organizations, and help develop and promote collaborative programs/leadership support, and general awareness
Board Term Information
- Board members are elected for a two-year term
- Board members may serve four consecutive full terms
