Board Member Expectations and Responsibilities

  • Board members must be a member in good standing of NASCOD
  • Attend monthly meetings (held via Zoom most months, face to face meetings at annual board retreat and annual conference)
    • Currently held on 4th Wednesday of the month at 1pm ET
    • If you are unable to attend a meeting, please provide reasonable notification.
    • Multiple absences may result in possible request to leave the board to open the seat to someone who has the schedule availability to participate consistently.
  • Serve on at least one committee
  • Represent the interests of NASCOD and crisis organizations to the community
  • Be active on the NASCOD listserve
  • Regularly attend/present/promote NASCOD Peerinars
  • Be aware of trends and issues related to crisis work and crisis organizations, and help develop and promote collaborative programs/leadership support, and general awareness

Board Term Information

  • Board members are elected for a two-year term
  • Board members may serve four consecutive full terms
